Mr. Toshiki FUKUTSUJI

Director, Asuka Acupuncture Clinic
I had the goods that support real healing
created by Mr. Dream. Truly limitless possibilities
are implied.
After graduating from the Art Department of Nihon University and working as a scenario writer, Mr. Fukutsuji became fascinated by Oriental medicine and studied at the Toyo Acupuncture Training College. In 1985 he established the Asuka Acupuncture Clinic, naming it after his birthplace in Nara Prefecture. He has written several books, including, The Makeover that Worked (Bookman Company), Slimmer Face, Slimmer Legs (together with Tony Tanaka, for Gakushu Kenkyusha), and A Gentle, Natural Diet for Your Body (together with Rinsho Ozawa, for Tokuma Shoten). Member: Japanese Society for Oriental Medicine.

Master Toshiki Fukutsuji, a leading practitioner of cosmetic acupuncture and seitai massage therapy in Japan, noticed while working at the Kitazato Clinic that women not only wanted therapy to become more healthy, but also to become slimmer and more beautiful. Even before the "aesthetic salon" became popular, he began to research ways of applying Oriental medical techniques to cosmetics, opening the Asuka Acupuncture Clinic in the Gotanda area of Tokyo, which received wide media coverage.

Master Fukutsuji encountered Dream when, "President Ohashi saw an article about us in a magazine and paid me a surprise visit." (Laughs.) "The idea for developing the Supabu body correction lingerie, which has since become a steady seller, arose when President Ohashi overheard me being interviewed by a magazine." This product is based on the master's idea that weight gain in multiparous women is due to widening of the pelvis; wearing the lingerie gives a sense of fitting snugly without constricting the blood flow. "We agonized over the design, trying to find ways to apply pressure horizontally but not vertically, but eventually we created an excellent product. By the way, my niece uses it too." Master Fukutsuji, thank you!

Dream has developed many other products with the cooperation of Master Fukutsuji, who feels this is a vital part of his therapeutic work. "Most of my patients can only visit my clinic one a week. We hope that, by providing patients with cosmetic or health equipment at home that they can easily use themselves, this will have a huge synergistic effect -- and this is the limitless possibility that Dream's products open up for us," says Master Fukutsuji. The creative staff at Dream are hard at work, turning the master's ideas and theories into effective products.
